THEY REALLY SHOWED THE CODE VERONICA REMAKE REVEAL!!

I can't believe they showed it the first thing ;____;

When I saw the walls and floors I was thinking this looks like RESI and then they hit us with the "it looks like a boulder rolled through here"... I would have screamed if it wasn't the middle of the night!

I am so fucking hype, I will not be shutting up about this for days!



I think Claire looks so good! I was never fond of her face in the RE2 Remake, something about it is very uncanny and babyfaced, but this design is more balanced with that and her later, more mature appearances and sharper features. She looks fierce and intense and I love it!

I would have died if they had shown Wesker or Chris but can't have all the goodness in one go, I guess... Can't wait for more trailers (though a part of me wants to go in blind) and I wish 2027 was here already! The overall atmosphere and environments look great and perfectly moody. OBSESSED!!











Resident Evil - 2014 HD Remaster (PS4/PC)

why?

✦ the perfect remake

✦ the one who started it all for me

✦ has the best mansion

✦ awesome aesthetic and the ambience and vibe both in music, sound and visual design is perfection

✦ iconic fixed camera survival horror gameplay with all my fave elements: mazelike levels, variety of puzzles, resource management, multiple endings

✦ has Wesker in it :^)









Resident Evil 6 - 2013 (PC, Steam)

why?

✦ multiple campaigns, multiple perspectives

✦ great new characters (Helena, Piers, Jake, wish we saw more of them)

✦ first time we really saw and felt how devastating the virus outbreaks really could be globally (impactful narrative!)

✦ iconic memeable moments

✦ controls took time getting used to and some missions were frustrating, but I don't care what anyone says, I had a great time with this one in co-op :)

✦ no Wesker but has his son and he is mentioned :^)







The Umbrella Chronicles - 2012 PS3 port (EMULATED, RPCS3)

why?

✦ so much good lore!!

✦ one of the few instances we get to play as the baddies outside of mercenaries

✦ walking through familiar environments in first person is so nostalgic

✦ gameplay is tough without a motion controller, but still fun and addicting

✦ you get to collect things and destroy environments looking for secrets

✦ has Wesker in it :^)







Resident Evil 9 requiem - 2026 (PC, Steam)

why?

✦ perfect mix of all the best parts of previous RE games: mazelike mansion-esque environments, scary stalker enemy, puzzles, two forms of inventory management, first + third person choice

✦ balanced between Leon's action segments and Grace's truer survival horror

✦ so much nostalgia and so many callbacks!! revisiting RPD and the orphanage, seeing the old STARS office, tofu easter egg, older Sherry, etc, etc.

✦ bonus points for how well optimised the game is, runs and looks great

✦ no Wesker, only an imitation :^(

❤︎ I liked her story the most of out the RE6 campaigns
